Her first team, Silver Star Express was the top point holding team in every category with the National Clogging & Hoedown Council in 1996. That same year, the team won the title of National Champion Precision & Show Team. During this time, Tara also danced with a co-ed clogging team, Leather N Lace from Asheville, NC. She began dancing with this group in 1992, and all dancers were from different states & traveled to practice on the weekends. It was not unusual to see Tara dance many routines with both teams at the same competition. In 1999, Tara was invited to dance with Dynamite Dolls under the direction of Kerry & Sandra Thomas from Commerce, GA. In 2002, Tara formed new competition teams: Dixie Dolls, Dixie Sweethearts, & Dixie Starz. They began competing with great success at National Clogging & Hoedown Council, Clogging Champions of America & America's Clogging Hall of Fame competitions. When not teaching clogging classes at night, Tara is employed at Doctors Hospital. She is also a member of Stevens Creek Church. Tara enjoys sharing her love for clogging with others, and looks forward to many more years with her performing & competition teams.

*1996 NCHC Nat'l Champion Precision & Show Teams (Dancer & Choreographer)

*1996 Performer for the Volunteers of the Summer Olympics

*1996 Performer for the Official Opening Ceremonies for dignitaries

*1996 Summer Olympics Opening Ceremonies Clogger

*1997 Cast Member of Walt Disney World's "Happy Easter" Parade

*1997 Opryland Clogging Championship - 2nd Place Overall Female Solo & Overall Team

*1997 Miss Augusta Pageant - 2nd Runner-up & Overall Talent Winner

*1997 America's Clogging Hall of Fame All American Team Member

*1998 America's Clogging Hall of Fame International All American Team Member

*2003-2004 Overall Miss American Clogger & Talent Winner
